Welcome.

Drin Gwiinzih, I’m Erika Doehring.

My name is Erika, and I am a proud Gwich'in granddaughter. I was raised away from my culture on Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Territory. I have always danced to my own drum and resisted conformity by following my heart, which I bring to my facilitation style. By using authentic understanding, we can foster meaningful connection and discussion. I've worked as a freelance salesperson, writer, marketer, and artist for over ten years throughout my entrepreneurial endeavours.

Growing up, I knew I was different from everyone around me. I thought I was unique and alone. I wanted to sit with rocks, dance with the wind and share my troubles with the ocean. As I have been connecting to my culture and communities, I have come to see that I was never disconnected and that I am not alone. It has always been with me.

My training is in Fine Art, philosophy, and marketing. Now, I am currently studying for my EMBA in Indigenous Business Leadership at SFU. My focus in my studies is on understanding the historical, present, and real impacts of colonization on Indigenous peoples' relationships to finance and entrepreneurship.

Hello, I am Liam Grigg.

My name is Liam, and I am humbled to be a guest on the unceded, traditional territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən People, known today as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nation. This beautiful part of the world is where I am honoured to live and explore. I'm a sixth-generation settler in Canada, originating from England, Scotland, and Ukraine.

I am a graduate of the University of Victoria, Gustavson's School of Business, with a Bachelor of Commerce. Through my specialization in International Business, I focused my studies and co-op work terms on discovering how cultural values alter the way people approach business. Since then, I have worked and fostered relationships with Indigenous communities across BC. I am committed to actively understanding my role in society and in building stronger allies.
